It deserves its 3 stars. It was very clean, stuff where gracious. Adjacent to the downtown, 10 minutes on foot. Also, shaw house was only 1 km away. Ordered diner at their on-site restaurant Bacon Arms. Comfortable bed in standard twin room with central heating, a TV and a seating area.

The place is 1 km away from Newbury downtown. The breakfast was good with lots of options. The room was reasonably priced.

the breakfast was freshly prepared and the staff was useful. easy walk to gurkha chef restaurant, where you can have lunch. our hotel was very close to tourist sites such as donnington castle. we greatly enjoyed bacon arms.

Kings Cafe, where you can eat, is walking distance to the hotel. We loved everything of our stay there. Free parking on-site was provided.
